Jessica Lynne Pineda, age 24, passed away Monday August 1, 2016 at Lake St. Louis, Missouri. She was born March 19, 1992 in High Ridge, Missouri to Romeo and Karen Lopez-Pineda. Jessica was a graduate of Hazelwood West High School and received a Masters Degree from Truman State University. She loved hiking, bird watching, music, playing the ukulele and singing. She was passionate for the humane treatment of animals as her reason to be a vegan.


When Jessica was at Truman State University, she was in the Freethinkers Society and held the position Vice President (2013-2014) and Service/Social Chair(Spring 2013). She taught science on Saturday to elementary children and Science Olympiad Fossils for middle and high schoolers. She was involved in Pet Pantry and Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Fraternity.

Jessica is survived by her parents, Karen Lopez-Pineda and Romeo Pineda, of O'Fallon, Missouri; a Brother Christopher Pineda of Overland, Missouri;Sisters, Lisa (Walter Lopez) Lopez of Wentzville, Missouri and Laura Pineda of House Springs, Missouri and Tita to Logan Lopez, plus numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nicolas and Fausta Pineda and Edward and Laverne Lopez.

A funeral service will be 7:00 pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 pm until the service time of 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Charles.
