1933 - 2016

Roberta L. " Bobbie" Pettys, age 83, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Saint Peters, Missouri. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 22, 1933 to Robert and Myrtle Marie (Jones) Leiby. Bobbie received an Associate’s Degree from Ohio State University and was employed for many years in Civil Service with the Department of Defense and retired as a Procurement Specialist. She was a member of Eastern Star, and the Ladies Auxiliary’s of the Amvets, VFW, American Legion. Bobbie loved doing puzzles, collecting bears, going out and being around people, dancing, making desserts and enjoying margarita's and Bud Lite.

Bobbie is survived by her Husband, William L. "Bill" Pettys of O'Fallon, MO; a Son, Sanford (Donna Meade) Sprague of St. Peters, MO; a Daughter, Catherine (Bernard) Nyhoff of O'Fallon, MO; Step son, Loren (Traci) Pettys of Sapulpa, OK; Grandchildren, Amy, Brian, Carrie, Ryan, Brett and Michael; Step grandchildren, Drew, Benjamin, Lindley and Amy; Great grandchildren, Nicholas, Adam, Nellina, Brinley and Liam; step great grandchildren, Will, Levi, Benjamin and Hannah; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two Brothers, William Leiby and Robert Leiby, Jr.

A Graveside Service will be 11:15 am Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO. A luncheon will follow the service at Amvets Post 106, St. Peters, MO at 12:30 pm.

Visitation will be Tuesday September 6, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376.

Memorials in her honor may be made to Amvets Post 106, Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 106, St. Peters, MO or Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
