Rae Thurman, age 76, of Lake Sherwood, MO, passed away March 21, 2017 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born September 28, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. Rae was a Deputy Chief with Rock Hill Fire Department, retiring in September of 2000 after 35 years of service. Rae and Kristi (Trudeau) Thurman were married on September 15, 1990 in St. Charles, Missouri.

Survivors include his children: Frank, Kaitlin, McKenzie and Tyler Joseph Thurman; Brothers Dennis (Margaret) Thurman, Bud (June) Thurman, and sisters, Charlotte (late Ralph) Webb and Donna Patterson. His in-laws, Glenda Thurman, Ed and Joan Kelley, Gerald and Carol Trudeau, Kenneth (Gina) Trudeau, Kimberly Trudeau, Jeffery Trudeau, Jennifer Trudeau and Sean (Amy) Kelley; and many other relatives and friends.

Rae was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Tommy and Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO with Pastor John Rauh officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home.
