Ronald L. "Ron" Cope, age 70, of St. Paul, Missouri passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Alton, Illinois on October 4, 1946 a son of Loren "Barney" and Marie Cope (nee Phillips), who both preceded him in death. Ron was an MP with the U. S. Army from 1966-1969, and was stationed in Berlin, Germany receiving the Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin). Ron retired from the St. Louis County Police Department with a career in Law Enforcement that spanned over 30 years. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Maryville College, was a member of the St. Louis County Police Retirees and the NRA, he loved baseball, (especially the St. Louis Cardinals), motorcycles, and hated to wait....ON ANYTHING. Ron married the former Amy Wehner on September 28, 2013 in St. Charles, MO.

Survivors include his Wife, Amy L. Cope of St. Paul, MO; children: Debra (Stephen) Hoff of St. Paul, MO, Jonathan D. Cope of Tokyo Japan, and Michael (Scarlett Rose) Cope of St. Charles, MO; Brothers, Dale L. (Nada ) Cope, of Glen Carbon, IL, and Clint (Rachel) Cope of Pacific, MO; his grandchildren Paige, Blake and Brett Hoff; plus a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday, May 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment, with Military Honors, will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorials in Ron’s honor may be made to Siteman Cancer Research Center, St. Louis, MO.
