George G. Isbell, age 79, of St. Charles, MO passed away on July 8th, 2017, in St. Charles, MO. He was born in Docena, Alabama on January 29, 1938 to Lewis and Sadie Isbell (nee Golden) and was the beloved husband of Elizabeth J. Isbell, dear father of Anthony A., Dean A, and George L. Isbell. Dear grandfather of Alexandria Allison, Cheska Schiwinger, Cassandra, Kaitlin, Kylie, Erik and Zachary. He was also a proud brother to Mary (late Ralph) Cope, Linda (Brian) McDonald, Connie (Larry) Bruencke, and Ronald Isbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Brenda and a brother, Oscar.

George worked for, and retired from, the United States Postal Service, having served over 20 years, and was a Past President of his Postal Worker Union chapter in Florissant. He was a Vietnam Era veteran stationed in the Pentagon as a clerk. George was also proud of having coached little league football.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Moolah Shrine Center, 12545 Fee Fee Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63146.

Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
