Joseph Francis Croghan, age 93, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 26, 1923 to Francis and Mary Jane Croghan (nee Allen). He was a graduate of Creighton University and was a member of VFW Post 4105 Florissant. Joseph was a Finance and Supply Officer with the U. S. Coast Guard, retiring as a CWO4 after 38 years of service. He was married to Virginia Croghan (nee Shaffer), who preceded him in death September 18, 2004.

Joseph is survived by four children: Michael D. Croghan, Patrick D. (Diane) Croghan, Ann D. Croghan, and Timothy D. Croghan, Sr. Four grandchildren: Christopher K. Croghan, Dennis A. Croghan, Jo Ann C. Milles and Timothy D. Croghan, Jr. 10 great-grandchildren: Joseph Croghan, Courtney Croghan, Andrew Croghan, Alexis Croghan, Kyle Croghan, Nicholas Croghan, Kira Croghan, Bethany Milles, Makayla Croghan and Owen Milles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister Patricia Hiltgen and a brother Richard Croghan.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 pm Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be prior to services from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, and Interment, with full Military Honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "Folds of Honor".
