In Memory Of
Robert John Manion
1959 - 2019
He attended school at North American Martyrs and McCluer High School in Florissant, Missouri. He served for four years in the United States Army. Bob was employed by Laclede Gas for 30+ years and leaves behind many friends and acquaintances, as well as lifelong friends including Glen, Rick, and Frank.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and was passionate about hunting and fishing. The annual deer camp and fish fry were some of his favorite times each year. Spending time in the country maintaining the farm and hunting properties kept him busy and brought him such peace. He ran a taxidermy business and recreated whitetail deer memories for hundreds of hunters. He was an athlete and enjoyed golf in his later years. He was deeply in love with his dogs.
Bob was a compassionate, kind-hearted man who loved deeply and was adored by many. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy and memory will live on forever.
Visitation will be at Newcomer’s Funeral Home in St. Peter’s, Missouri (837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Saint Peters, MO 63376) on Sunday January 27, 2019 from 3pm-7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish (4110 McClay Rd, Saint Charles, MO 63304) on Monday January 28, 2019 at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made A Cure In Sight™, an organization founded to provide patient support services for Ocular Melanoma eye cancer patients.
