Viola A. McGrath, age 93, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in St Louis, Missouri on January 8, 1926 to Oscar and Agnes Linkitz (nee Mund).

Viola is survived by her daughters, Ann M (Bill) Backus of Saint Charles, MO and Mary Kay Jenkins (David) of Grain Valley, MO, her son, George Michael (Kathy) McGrath, Jr. of Benton City, WA, grandchildren: Ryan McGrath (Lori), Marnee Salter (Tony), Lori Sievers (Bob), Kelly Menke (Peter), Sean Backus (Tiara), Patrick Jenkins, Sarah Henson (Chris), great grandchildren: Gunner, America, Daniel, Faith, Hannah, Payton, Chase, Gabriel, Meghan, Abraham, Karleigh, Kaydence, Rylee and Jack and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George McGrath in 1983 and a son Bob McGrath.

Funeral Ceremony will be 10:00 am Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, St Louis, MO.
