Harold W Edgerton, age 88, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on December 29, 1930 to Raymond and Martha Edgerton (nee DeWeese).

He spent his childhood in North Carolina, Texas and Ohio. He graduated from Goshen High School, Damascus, Ohio, in 1949. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and attained the rank of Staff Sgt before being honorably discharged in 1952. Soon after returning home he met the love of his life LaVonne and they were married on June 20, 1954.

He always had a love for flying and that led to a 45 year career as a corporate pilot. He also had a love of golf, but his greatest love was his family.

Harold is survived by his wife, LaVonne Edgerton, his son, Thomas W (Bridget) Edgerton, his daughter, Debra (Stephen) Klem, eight grandchildren: Janna Wells, Alison Creagar, William Klem, Caroline Silva, Andrew Primm, Daniel Primm, Flynn Edgerton and Casey Edgerton, four great grandchildren: Levi Wells, Tyler Demaree, Louis Silva and Arthur Klem, his sister, Rita Mae Schoeni, a son-in-law Wayne Primm and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Martha Edgerton and a daughter, Marilyn Primm.

A memorial service will be held at Old Hickory Golf Club 1 Dye Club Dr, St Peters, MO 63304, at 1:00 pm Saturday August 10, 2019.
