Arthur "AJ" Goede Jr., age 43, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. He was born in Kirkwood, Missouri on December 31, 1975 to Arthur and Carolyn Goede (nee Finley).
AJ was a devoted Husband and father who loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved spending time at the ball field helping to coach Liam's MO Gators baseball team. Wednesday evenings were reserved for playing darts at Lulu’s in St Peters.
AJ worked for his brother Shawn at CoCara Remodeling. He enjoyed spending his days with Tipper and Eddie. He was always so proud of the work he did for their clients.
AJ was definitely a people person. He enjoyed reminiscing about the shenanigans of his youth and his many cherished memories of time spent with his family. If you ever met him, you were subjected to the bug sound he would make by your ear. His laugh and big smile always quickly followed.
AJ would have claimed his children as his greatest accomplishments. He loved Austin, Brooke, Liam, and Harper with his entire being. He was a great Dad! Austin blessed him this year with his first grandson; Oliver. AJ was a very proud Opa.
AJ and Heather met 13 years ago and just celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. They spent their time together at home with their little ones, watching Liam play ball, and chasing Miss Harper around.
AJ was loved and respected by so many and will be greatly missed.
AJ is survived by his Wife, Heather Goede; Children, Austin (Kaylee) Goede, Brooke Bady, Liam Goede and Harper Goede; Grandson, Oliver Goede; Mother, Carolyn Goede; Father, Arthur (Tracy) Goede, Sr.; Siblings, Kevin (Cheryl) Goede, Shawn (Annie) Goede and Amanda (Ryan) Sherwood; Nieces and Nephews, Drew Goede, Grace Goede, Madison Goede, Hannah Sherwood and Kyle Sherwood; Aunts and Uncles, Roberta (Bob) Roedel, Donna Cox, Michelle (Dean) Finley, Mitchel Finley, Debbie (Virgil) Mueller and Vernon (Margie) Goede; He will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilma and Robert Finley; and paternal grandparents, Virginia and Arthur J. Goede;
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Newcomer, St Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
