Shirley E. Baty, age 61, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 in Saint Charles, Missouri. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 19, 1958 to Leonard and June Cortor (nee Gallagher).

Shirley was an administrative assistant at Spanish Lake Fire and Protection District from 1999 - 2017. She was married to Chris Bennett.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Daniel Best) Hrivnak of O'Fallon, MO; and husband, Chris Bennett of Saint Louis, MO. She was a beloved sister to Carolyn, aunt to June and many others, & friend. Shirley will be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Cortor; and mother, June Cortor.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Newcomer St Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 12:00 pm.
