David J. Lauer, age 74, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 in Saint Charles, Missouri. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on June 24, 1945 to Frederick and Veronica Lauer (nee Kennebeck).

Dave was married to Bertha "Bertie" Lauer for 49 years. He was an Aircraft Mechanic at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 43 years. He was a skilled artist and musician. Dave loved to play golf and bowl with family members. He enjoyed exploring Civil War and WWII history and traveled to many Civil War sites. He had a kind and gentle soul, and loved cuddling with whatever dogs were part of the family at any given time.

Dave is survived by his wife, Bertha "Bertie" Lauer; and siblings, Thomas (Mary) Lauer, Rita (Martin) Solomon, and Jeanine (Lee) Drumright. He will be missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Lauer and Veronica Lauer; and sister, Mary Louise Lauer.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Newcomer St Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A funeral ceremony follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dave's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
