In Memory Of
Liam Ryan Benedict

Liam Ryan Benedict, age 7, of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. He was born in St Louis, Missouri on August 30, 2012 to Grace Reed and Michael Benedict.

Liam was brave, clever, cheerful, tenacious, and outspoken. His favorite past time was playing with his siblings, dinosaurs, sharks, and video games or cuddling with his mother. Four years ago, Liam started his battle with LGS (Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome) and spent many hours, days, and weeks in the hospital exhausting all efforts to overcome his illness. On that Wednesday morning, Liam hung up his hero cape when he lost his battle to epilepsy never to be burdened again; instead choosing to watch over his family without seizures, pain, and suffering. His battle with Epilepsy made him weary and resentful yet Liam was always able to share his sense of humor and express his love to everyone. He never let his Epilepsy control or consume him and he never lost his imagination, creativity, or his love for life. Liam loved everyone and was loved by everyone. That sparkle in his eyes will forever shine within our hearts yet the impact of his loss will be felt forever.

Liam is survived by his mother, Grace Kay Reed; fathers, Ryan Butler and Michael Robert (Holly) Benedict; Siblings, Chase Matthew Benedict, Michael Robert Benedict Jr., Carly Jacqueline Taschler, Tatum Grace Butler, Noah Benedict, and Elijah Benedict; grandmothers, Jacqueline C. Taschler, Christine (Rick) Curtis; grandfathers, Steven Reed and Melvin Taschler; uncles, Carl Carroll, Justin Carroll, Ashton Carroll, and Ricky Curtis; aunts, Kayla (Spencer) Taschler, Jamie (Ed) Angelbeck, Danielle (Jake) Milster; and cousins, Brice Carroll, Xavier Carroll, Annabelle Carroll, Mason Carroll, Landyn Langley, Jayden Thomas, Kayla Angelbeck, Miranda Angelbeck, Karlena Benedict, Eddie Angelbeck, Augusta Milster, and Marshall Milster. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Theresa Taschler, his great grandfathers, Larry King, James Reed, and Melvin Taschler Sr; and his great uncle Allen King.
