Marty Knittel, age 60, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on August 4, 1959 to Paul and Helen Knittel (nee Smith).

Marty was married to Glenda Knittel for 20 years. They loved to take trips together. One of their favorite places to visit was the beach. Marty and Paul completed many projects together. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Marty loved his dog Gizmo. They shared many snacks together. Marty was a hard worker and was always willing to help others. Marty was greatly loved and will be forever missed.

Marty is survived by his wife, Glenda Knittel; Children, Paul Knittel, Jenni Cavender, and Joe (Kristin) Powers; Grandchildren, Tyler Gamma, Ben Cavender, Emma Powers, Jack Powers, and Leah Powers; Great-Granddaughter, Amber Gamma; Siblings, Paula Mroz, Kathy (Tom) Housel, and Phil (Diane) Knittel. He will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Knittel; mother, Helen Knittel; brother, Teddy Knittel; and brother-in-law, Frank Mroz.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A celebration of life will take place at 3:30 pm following the visitation.

Memorial contributions in Marty's name may be made out to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
