Shirley A. Sutton (nee Deibel) entered into eternal rest on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Beloved wife of Milton J. Sutton of 68 years. Loving mother of Linda (John) Moran, Larry (Charlotte) Sutton, Timothy (Terri) Sutton and Nancy (Micheal) Allen. Proud grandmother of Megan Sanpedro; Zachary (Bridget Estell) Sutton, Chelsie (David) Sedlacek, Cody (Crystal) Sutton, and Tory Sutton (Emily Poytner), Jordan Shaw and Grace (Ben) Kistner; Timothy Sutton Jr., Daniel (Valerie) Sutton, Jeffrey Sutton and Rachel (Chris) Hutton; Natalie (Rich) Hill, Benjamin (Lindsay) Allen and Olivia Allen. Cherished great grandmother of fourteen. Dearest sister of six siblings. Dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Shirley cherished her time with family most. She often times did art projects with her grandchildren and she loved reading to them. Her devotion to God and her faith was exemplary and she was well acquainted with His word. She was particularly fond of the writings of the books of Timothy. Shirley was a talented quilter and her creations will forever be a cherished gift. She was well known for her excellent cooking skills and prepared an outstanding Turkey for Thanksgiving every year. Her pineapple upside down cake was one of her signature dishes. Shirley was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice and she loved singing in the choir at First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, Missouri. Shirley was a beloved Sunday School Teacher as well and often taught the children in her church. She lived by the golden rule and Shirley often devoted much of her time to helping others and being a neighbor that anyone would love to have. Shirley’s legacy will live on through her posterity and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of O'Fallon on Saturday, May 30th, 2020 from 10:00am until the time of the memorial service at 11:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to the First Baptist Church of O’Fallon Missouri, the American Diabetes Association or DAVITA .
