James "Jim" Engle, age 80, passed away on November 30, 2020 at his home in Silex, Missouri. Dear son of the late Edwin and Mary (nee Nayler) Engle. Beloved husband of Johnnie Darlene Engle (nee Jones). Loving father of Kenny (Deanna) Engle and Rich Engle. Proud grandfather of Danielle Smith, James Engle, Megan (Shane) Knight and Brett Engle. Papa of Violet, Valerie, Vivian, the late Vinny, Sophia and Payton. Dearest brother of the late Richard Engle and Mary (Ron) Floyd. Dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Jim was married to Johnnie for 61 years. Family was most important to him in life. He dearly loved his grandmother Nayler and her cooking. He found much enjoyment in traveling, camping, shooting sports and anything outdoors. He retired after 33 years of service with UAW.

The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 11:00am until the time of the service starting at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Cancer Research in memory of Vinny Smith, the Leukemia Society or the charity of one's own choice are appreciated.
