1934 - 2021

Rich Deering, age 86, was reunited with family and friends who have passed on before him on January 2, 2021. He is beloved to a host of family members and friends. He was the son of the late Charles Richard and Neita Welty Deering. Husband of Sue Deering. Brother of the late Neita Nuhoff Walker, the late Charlene Deuser and the late Robert (Martha) Deering. Father of Mike (Nancy) Deering, Bruce (Julie) Deering, Vince (Nancy) Deering, Paul (Suzi) Deering, Michelle Deering, Diane (Daryl) Bianco, Tanya (Ryan) Treasure and Mark (Tanya) Deering. Grandpa of Nicki, Kelly, Steven, Marissa, Scott, Amanda, Jessica, Natalie, Amy, Ryan, Ashley, Zachary, Brandon, Vincent, Teagan and Ashton.

Rich found much enjoyment in life, even up until recently, at the bowling alley amongst his friends and family. He was proud of his numerous bowling honor scores. Rich had a giving heart and devoted much of his time to providing service at the SSM St. Joseph Hospital Emergency Room. He was a volunteer greeter at Bogey Hills Baptist Church in St. Charles. Rich also enjoyed using his vocal talents by singing in the church choir as well as performing vocal solos.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rich's memory to the American Cancer Society and Wounded Warrior Project.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with a private interment following. Out of respect and safety for the families we serve, our staff and our community, all guests are required to wear face coverings at all times while visiting our funeral home.
