David Charles Mayer III, age 68, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in O Fallon, Missouri. He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on December 24, 1952 to David and Terri Mayer (nee Dipple).

David enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a need for speed with motorcycles and autos. He was a longstanding 30 year employee at Ford Motor Co. He was a Grateful Dead and music fan and greatly cherished his 3 dogs (Chewie, Pepper and Oreo) and his 50th Anniversary Ford Mustang.

David is survived by his wife, Kelly Mayer; sons, David Mayer IV, and Andrew Mayer; brother, Michael (Julie) Mayer, sister, Kathleen Miller and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents David Mayer Jr. and Terri Griffin; sister, Georgianna Siebert , brother-in-law Joseph Siebert and sister-in-law, Linda Mayer.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Interment will be at Giedinghagen Cemetery in Mt Sterling, MO.
