In Memory Of
Hristo Andreev Hristov
1963 - 2021
Hristo was born into a modest family in a small mountain village in Bulgaria. He, along with his two brothers and sister, understood the meaning of hard work from an early age. Hristo immigrated to the United States in 1999 with his wife and son in hopes of greater opportunities for his family, especially for his son’s future. Through hard work and determination, he succeeded in moving his family across the world, learning English, and owning a beautiful home, where his family and close friends were always welcome.
Hristo worked a series of blue collar jobs to provide for his family and eventually became a boiler engineer at Sigma Aldrich, where he received multiple performance awards. Hristo was grateful for his colleagues, dedicated to the company and enjoyed going to work every day. He was an avid traveler and visited many European countries, but always prioritized visiting his father and other family members, who still live in Bulgaria. Vacationing at different resorts in Mexico and exploring U.S. cities with his wife was an annual tradition.
Hristo was a very kind and loving husband and would do anything in the world for his wife. He was a proud father and enjoyed watching his son’s successful career as a scientist at Pfizer. One of his great pleasures in life was being a next door neighbor to his brother who was also his best friend. The most joyful part of his life was becoming a grandfather of a beautiful granddaughter Alina and watching her grow up. Hristo always had a smile on his face and a good sense of humor. He was a friend to everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but we know he will always be in our hearts.
Hristo is survived by his wife, Kris O. Hristova; son, Adrian H. Hristov, granddaughter, Alina J. Hristova, brother, Stoyan A. (Nadia) Hristov; father, Andrey H. Hristov; sister, Albena A. (Gregory) Koleva; sister-in-law, Emilia Hristova. He will be missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria A Hristova; and brother, Georgi A Hristov.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will follow.
