In Memory Of
Lorraine June Olle
1924 - 2021

Lorraine June Olle (née Ochs), age 97, of St. Peters, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 18, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born January 15, 1924, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ochs (née Sackett).

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Olle; two brothers, Robert Ochs and Norman “Bud” Ochs; and three sisters, Thelma Baxter, Lenore Lohmann, and Betty Aleckson. Together she and John raised four children: Janice (Richard) Aubuchon, Kathy (Timothy Sr.) Tumulty, John K. (Elaine) Olle, and Steven Olle. She was a loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren – Jennifer, Christina, Veronica, Amy, John Matthew, Ryan, Timothy, Kimberly, Daniel, Brian, Richard, Sarah, and Tyler – and 22 great-grandchildren.

Lorraine lived a life full of family, music, and most of all faith. She was the rock of her family, and prayed and devoted time to God daily, asking for guidance and blessings for her loved ones. She loved music, starting young, singing with her sisters in the Ochs Trio, as well as in the choir for many church functions, over several decades. Not one to sit still in retirement, she taught herself to play piano when she was in her eighties. She fulfilled her dream of living at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2000, where decades of family vacations had been housed, then moved to be closer to family again in 2014. She was also a philanthropist, donating to many deserving causes and Christian charities all over the world. She was an enthusiastic bowler, spending her birthdays bowling with family even this year for her 97th birthday.

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, with a visitation on Monday, July 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 27 at 9 a.m.; funeral service on Tuesday, July 27, at 11:30 a.m., and internment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Adult and Teen Challenge and The Salvation Army.
