William Matthew Klinghammer, age 63, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 11, 1958 to William and Joan Klinghammer (nee Kleine ).
Matt graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School followed with enlistment of the Navy which he gained an honorable discharge. His present employment was through Fort Zumwalt School District as a bus driver. He is a member of Knights of Templars. His passions was the Navy, the ocean, Diamond paintings, the children he transported to school daily, all the co workers he was surrounded by and the St Louis Cardinals. He felt proud to take care of his mother and father in their golden years.
He leaves behind his long time girlfriend Johnell Schwerdtfeger Cook; his parents, William and Joan Klinghammer; his children, Isabella Klinghammer, William Klinghammer, Emmett Klinghammer and Madelyn Klinghammer; and his niece and nephew, Allison and Max Klinghammer. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved brother Kurt.J Klinghammer; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial mass will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 403 N Main St, O'Fallon, MO 63366. Interment will be private.
