After settling back in the St. Louis area, where they raised their three children, Gary worked for the St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic for over 25 years. Gary retired in 2013 to spend more time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Gary enjoyed writing, music and loved spending time outdoors fishing. He was constantly bringing joy and generating laughs through his many jokes and pranks. He was always the number one fan in the stands for his children’s and grandchildren’s sports and activities.
