Elizabeth was a former sister of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. She entered at the Motherhouse in San Antonio, TX where she spent 3 years formation before teaching in their schools. She was given the name Sister Edmund. She taught secondary school at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Parish from 1955-56.
