Surviving are her children Roger (Selina) Helms, Cher Daly, Larry Helms, Jerry (Kathy) Helms, Eugene (Jackie) Helms and Donnie Helms; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers Jack (Jenny) Calahan and Bobby (Rhonda) Calahan; five sisters Ruth Ann Shaw, Linda Boerckel, Lu Jacob, Deborah (Mike) Davis and Carolyn Sue (David) Norden; aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Lucille (Wilkerson) Calahan; her son Gary Helms in 2013; four sisters Wilma Oakley, Pauline Wells, Betty Godsey and Ruby Lilley; three brothers Melvin Calahan, Lonnie Calahan and infant Donnie Dewayne Calahan.
Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. Goldie was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center and had a great relationship with God. She cherished her relationship with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
The funeral service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive Saint Peters, Missouri 63376 on Monday June 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow in St. Charles Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Sunday June 25, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Memorials donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral and cemetery expenses.
