Larry Scott Clancy, age 75, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 16, 1945 to Willard and Norma Clancy (nee Klingkamer).

Larry was known as the “idea guy” by his friends and family. Whether he was writing a funny poem, thinking of a new business idea, telling tall tales, creating a family board game or coming up with his latest invention, his creativity was never-ending. Larry was also an avid reader that enjoyed anything that involved golf or boating.

Larry is survived by his wife, Dinah Clancy; his daughters, Katherine (Rocky) Loessin, and Erin (Edward) Merz; and his grandchildren, Penelope Loessin, Cassidy Loessin, Edith Loessin, Liam Merz, and Rowan Merz. He will be missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Norma Clancy; and his siblings Kenneth Clancy, and Barbara Winske.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be made to the American Lung Association.
