Richard John Albrecht Jr.
1946 - 2021

Richard John Albrecht Jr., age 74, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 13, 1946 to Richard and Josephine Albrecht (nee Sardenga).

A veteran of the U.S. Air force, Dick was a quick wit, always ready with a one-liner. Above all things, Dick was a family man and Becky’s beloved husband for 52 years. Dick and Becky knew each other their entire lives and their marriage formally united the Albrecht and Ambrose families. As a husband and father, Dick was steady and consistent, providing and caring for each of us just as we needed. Dick’s legacy is his unconditional love for his family.

Dick is survived by his wife, Rebecca A. Albrecht; his children, Richard J. (Angela) Albrecht III, John A. (Kimberly) Albrecht and Mary Beth A. (Timothy) Bussen; his grandchildren, Molly Albrecht, Christopher Pratt, Tyler Collier, Beatrice Bussen and Josephine Bussen, his great-grandson, Jason Pratt; his siblings, Judith Elie, Mary Frye, Pauline Bongiovanni and Christopher (Lisa) Albrecht and father-in-law Anthony H. Ambrose Sr. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard J. Albrecht Sr. and Josephine S. Albrecht; mother-in-law Helen B. Ambrose, and two brother-in-laws, Clifford Elie and Charles Bongiovanni.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 10:30 am with a mass at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 5 McMenamy Rd, St Peters, MO 63376. Interment will follow at St Charles Borromeo Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Dick's name may be made out to The Shrine of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne and the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
