Agnes A. Humphrey

 Agnes A. Humphrey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world peacefully on March 23, 2025, at the age of 96 in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Born on August 24, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri, Agnes was a vibrant soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.

For 30 years, she dedicated herself to her work as a sewing machine operator, where her diligent hands created not just fabric and thread, but also a sense of community and connection among her coworkers. With an education that extended only through the 8th grade, Agnes embodied the spirit that it is not the formal education, but the lessons of life that shape our hearts and minds.

Her passions were as colorful as her personality. She found strength in her faith as a Christian. Agnes loved to spend time in her well-tended garden, where she nurtured plants just as she nurtured the relationships around her. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, whether at the vibrant tables of Bingo halls or on joyful vacations exploring the beauty of nature. Each laugh, each game played, and each story shared was a testament to her loving spirit and zest for life.

Agnes's family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her loving daughters, Arlene (Bruce) Boggs, Darlene (Bob) Goedeker, Bernice Jensen, and Louise Redel. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren MacBeth, Katherine, Jeannette, Julie, Renee, Paul, Nathan, Becky, Rob, Matt, Sean, Jonathan, Tim, Heather, and Jennifer, as well as her 20 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. The laughter and love that Agnes cultivated will carry on through these generations, forever tracing their roots back to her kind heart.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Humphrey, her parents Effie and Frank Arkes, her sister Mary, and brother Frank Jr. Agnes also mourns the loss of her daughter Linda, and son Michael. Each of them held a special place in her heart and their memories will be cherished by her family.

A visitation to celebrate her life will take place on April 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376.

Agnes A. Humphrey leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and resilience. She will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her spirit, ever intertwining with those she loved, will continue to blossom in the hearts of her family and friends.
