Anna Theresa Knipp, born on February 25, 1941, in Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in Wentzville, Missouri. She was surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy filled with warmth, creativity, and enduring love.
Theresa led a life rich in passion and devotion. Her love for sewing, reading, and gardening reflected her nurturing spirit. She found immense joy in tending to her house plants, creating vibrant displays that mirrored her own lively personality. Music from the 60s and 70s filled her home, as she often delighted in its nostalgic tunes, her heart dancing along with the melodies that shaped her youth.
Traveling was a shared passion for Theresa and her beloved husband, Cecil Knipp, who predeceased her. Together, they created countless memories, embarking on adventures that enriched their lives and touched the hearts of those around them. Their unity was a testament to a love that was both inspiring and beautiful.
Theresa’s family was her pride and joy. She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Angela (Michael) Leadford, Kathleen (Joseph) McKinney, and Jennifer (Thomas) Marchlewski, each of whom carry forward her love and values. The bright light of her legacy shines through her grandchild, Blake Leadford, whose laughter and spirit embody the joy she so dearly cherished. Anna also leaves behind her dear brothers Ed (Joanie) Mudd and Jim (Rosalie) Mudd, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Her sister-in-law, Shirley Wisner, too, mourns the loss of a sisterly bond filled with laughter and companionship.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Josephine Mudd, and her siblings: Al Mudd, Judy Friedman, George Mudd, Glenn Mudd, Martha Scott, and Jean Combs. The love she shared with them remains eternal, echoing in the hearts of those who knew her.
A visitation will be held in her honor on October 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, followed by a heartfelt funeral service at 11:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Friends and family are also invited to a graveside service at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at 12:30 PM, where Anna will take her final rest.
