Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara M. Behlmann of Florissant Missouri, who passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026 at the age of 94.

Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She shared a loving marriage with her Husband, Harry for 74 years, and together they did more than just provide for their children—they raised them to deeply understand the true meaning of family.

As a mother, Barbara had an extraordinary gift for making each of her children feel seen, safe, and unconditionally loved. Whether she was cheering them on from the sidelines, offering a listening ear through life’s hardest moments, or gathering everyone around the table for a warm meal, she was always there. Her patience, kindness, and steady presence formed the unbreakable foundation of our family.

Barbara is proceeded in death by her husband Harry, who passed away on July 2, 2026 and her daughter Mickey, who passed away on February 27, 2026. Barbara is survived by her son in law Mike LaVelle, and her beloved children, Jeff (Marylee) Behlmann, Tim (Marianne) Behlmann, Shari (Merv) Carder; grandchildren, Chris Teater, Nick (Sarah) Teater, Melanie (Mark) Swanson, Abby (Matt) Allen, Amanda Behlmann, Kelly (Rhiannon) Souza, Grant (Mallory) Carder, Mitch Carder, and Leah Carder. Barbara is also survived by her eleven beautiful great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held on November 7, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 403 N Main, St., O’Fallon, MO 63366. Following the mass, food and beverages will be provided at Knights of Columbus at 202 W 3rd St, O’Fallon, MO 63366 (walking distance behind the church). Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate a life well lived and to honor the love and memories Barbara leaves behind.

She lived for her family, loved without condition, and leaves a space that can never be filled.
