Barbara Hofstetter, born January 29, 1941, passed away on June 8, 2026. She was a devoted wife of 55 years, a loving mother and grandmother, whose warmth and dedication deeply touched all who knew her.
Barbara’s family remembers her as someone who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Christmas held a special place in her heart; she treasured decorating the home and baking cookies, creating festive memories for her loved ones year after year. Her passion for gardening reflected her nurturing spirit. She was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Hofstetter and his wife Valorie, and Kent Hofstetter and his wife Darlene. Her grandchildren, Sydney Koopmann and her husband Garrett, Trinity Hofstetter, and Grayson Hofstetter, carry forward her cherished family values. Barbara was also a sister to Carol Wolf and her husband Kenny, and Mary Jane Howard and her husband Kenny. Beyond her immediate family, she is remembered fondly by a host of other relatives and friends whose lives she enriched.
Barbara was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Howard Hofstetter; her father, John Pardoe; her mother, Velda May Pardoe; and her brother, Dean Pardoe.
Services to honor Barbara’s life will be held on June 15, 2026, beginning with a visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1:30 p.m. The final tribute will be a graveside service at St. John's UCC Cemetery, 1382 Motherhead Road, Cottleville, Missouri, at 2:30 p.m.
Barbara Hofstetter will be remembered as a steadfast cornerstone of her family and community, whose legacy of love, joy, and dedication will endure in the hearts of those she held dear.
