Belen Negrete

Belen Negrete, age 67, of Bridgeton, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. She was born in Magallanes, Mexico on May 22, 1956 to Rafael and Imelda Canchola (nee Negrete).

Belen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She was around to care for her family and to help put a smile on your face. Belen often hosted large family gatherings especially around the holidays. Belen was well known for her great cooking skills. Her famous tamales will be missed.

Belen is survived by her sons, Antonio Negrete, Salvador Negrete, Mario Negrete, Armando Negrete (Kayla Ricketts), and Jose Negrete; her daughter, Imelda (Tim) McNiff; her granddaughters, Maria Negrete, Alexis Negrete, Gabriella Negrete, Emma Negrete, Olivia Negrete, and Abigail McNiff; her grandsons, Salvador Negrete, Jr., Tony Negrete, Antonio Negrete, and Jeremy Negrete; her great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Ramona Canchola. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Negrete; her father, Rafael Canchola; her mother, Imelda Negrete; and her brother, Antonio Canchola;

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a funeral service to take place at 1:00 pm all on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be follow at Ste Philippine Catholic Cemetery in Saint Charles.
