Betty J. Counts, born on July 15, 1932, passed away on May 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, warmth, and cherished memories. Throughout her life, Betty was a devoted and passionate individual who took great joy in the simple pleasures that brought her happiness and comfort.
In her later years, Betty found delight in watching well-loved television programs such as The Price Is Right and The Young and the Restless. These shows provided her with not only entertainment but also a connection to the world around her. She was well known among family and friends as a big fan of Hershey’s chocolate and ice cream.
Betty’s affectionate nature extended beyond her human family to the animals she dearly cared for. She treasured her moments spent interacting with her grand dog and grand cat, sharing with them a bond filled with tenderness and companionship.
Betty deeply loved her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Toni Theresa Kiely, who carried forward the love and values she instilled. Also surviving Betty is her brother, Michael (Millie) Stroessner, her nieces, Robin (Steve) Norwood, Vicki Murphy, and Dawn (Rick) Stratmann, her nephew, Craig Stroessner, along with a host of other family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and spirit.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Frederick C. Stroessner; her mother, Emma Stroessner; and her brother, Ronald Clemens (Carole) Stroessner. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved Betty.
