Beverly Curtis, age 90, a beloved matriarch whose heart beat with fierce love and unwavering devotion to her family, peacefully passed away on April 22, 2026, in Ellisville, Missouri. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Beverly’s life was a testament to the power of family and the warmth of unconditional love.
Beverly was the embodiment of a true mama bear—fun loving, sassy, and fiercely protective of those she held dear. Her family was her universe, and she cherished each member with a boundless affection that defined her existence. She took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, considering them her most treasured accomplishments. Words often failed to capture the depth of her love, but anyone who knew Beverly understood that her family was, quite simply, her life.
One of her many joys was shopping, with Chico’s affectionately deemed her “mothership.” Her flair for fashion and fun personality brought smiles and laughter to those lucky enough to share those moments with her.
Beverly’s legacy is carried forward by those she loved most deeply. She leaves behind her devoted son Rick Curtis and his wife Cindy; her daughter Paige Muench and her husband Mark Oldenburg; cherished grandchildren Jennifer Librach, Michael Muench (alongside his wife Morgan), and Matthew Curtis (with his wife Alyssa); and her treasured great-grandchildren Cole, Jaxon, Owen, Cameron, and Joey. Each carries a piece of Beverly’s vibrant spirit and heartfelt values.
Though Beverly’s beloved husband, Joe Curtis, passed before her, along with her parents Sylvio and Thelma Gaia and her son-in-law Don Muench, their memories live on through the stories and love shared among her family. Beverly’s departure leaves an irreplaceable void, but her enduring spirit continues to inspire all who knew her.
Family, friends, and loved ones will gather to honor Beverly’s remarkable life on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, beginning with a visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, West County, located at 2211 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield, Missouri, 63017. The funeral service will follow immediately at 10:00. Following services, Beverly will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in Ellisville, Missouri.
Beverly Curtis’s life was a mosaic of love, laughter, and unfaltering family devotion. She leaves behind more than memories; she leaves a legacy of love that will continue to nurture and protect her family for generations to come. Her warmth, her sass, and her unyielding love will forever resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
