Bud Alsop

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bud Alsop, a remarkable man whose presence touched the lives of many. Born on August 11, 1987, in St. Louis, Missouri, Bud departed this world on April 16, 2026, in Elsberry, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and unforgettable memories.

Bud was truly an amazing person, a great man, deeply rooted in his faith and respected by many for his kindness and generosity. His life reflected the values he held close, and his spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Professionally, Bud’s journey was marked by both craftsmanship and connection. Before his role in sales at Kodiak Equipment, he dedicated his talents to custom home building. He took great pride in the homes he helped create, each one reflecting his commitment to quality and detail. Yet his greatest accomplishment was not found in the homes he built, but in the lives he shaped, especially those of his children.

Bud was a man of many interests and endless energy. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, working out, and hiking. More than anything, he cherished time with his children. His love and pride for Knox, Lyla, and Jordyn were evident in everything he did, and being their father was the role he treasured most.

Bud was born to Eileen Newton and Michael Alsop and was raised surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving children, Knox, Lyla, and Jordyn; his mother, Eileen Newton; his father, Michael Alsop (Diane); his sister, Abby Clayton (Cody); and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him. He is also remembered by his former wife, Misty Alsop, the mother of his children, with whom he shared a lasting bond through their love for their kids.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Tricia Alsop, and his grandparents, whose memories he carried with him always.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on April 22, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. These services provide an opportunity to gather, remember, and honor a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
