Carl V. Pollard, Jr. departed from this world on July 27, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He was born on February 2, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pauline (Harrell) Pollard; his children, Craig (Dori) Pollard and Tracy (Darren) Armstrong; his grandchildren, Jon (Jaime) Pollard, Nicole (Scott) Melliere, Erik (Tashia) Pollard, Alana Armstrong, and Evan Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Connor, Aidan, and AJ Pollard; Luna, Nora, and Clara Melliere; Theo and Beatrix Pollard; his sister Tammy (Randy) Henrie; his sister-in-law, Rose Harrell; his nieces, Sheila Harrell and Rebecca Pollard; his nephews, Brian Pollard and Jeff Harrell. Preceded in death by his parents, Roberta (Motley) Merrick and Carl Vincent Pollard, Sr; his brothers, Gary Pollard, Walter and Michael Merrick, his brother-in-law, Gary Harrell.
Carl served two years in the United States army. After returning from the army, he spent 14 years working at Pepsi Cola. He later transitioned to HVAC/R, working in the field for many years before founding his own company, Northwest Refrigeration, in 1986.
He cherished time spent fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, and playing cards with friends and family. Above all, he treasured moments with his children and grandchildren, always putting family first. His life was guided by a deep sense of honesty and integrity, values he upheld in every aspect of his journey. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
