Christina Marie Kestner

Christina “Christy” Marie Kestner, age 52, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 10, 1972, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Christy worked for Valvoline for 12 years, most recently serving as an Area Manager. She was hardworking and dedicated, but what truly defined her was the love she had for her family—especially her grandson, Calvin James, who was the light of her life. She loved tending flowers with him on the patio, enjoying summer vacations in Florida, playing bingo with her family and friends.

She was always the first to pick up the phone when someone needed her, and she never forgot anyone’s birthday. Her great imagination could keep her grandson and nieces and nephews entertained for hours, and she gave the best advice—always knowing how to make a bad situation feel a little brighter. She faced her fears head-on and wasn’t afraid of a challenge, showing strength and courage in everything she did.

She is survived by her daughter, Tayler Storm Kestner (Ross Rellergert); her sons, Mason Cole Kestner (Kelsey Hoag), Jordan Kyle Kestner, and Dillon Lee Gant; her parents, Paul and Jewell (Phyllis) Kaltenbach; James and Brenda Lawrence; her brothers, Thomas (Kelly) Smotherman, Dane (Ashley) Kaltenbach, and Tracey (Tina) Lawrence; and her sisters, Nancy Haupt, Stacey (Roy) Poteete, and Jamie Ellison (Joe Smith).

Christy was also a proud aunt to her nieces and nephews: Logan Smotherman, Lillie Smotherman, Jackson Kaltenbach, Easton Kaltenbach Alexandria (Ryan) Muzzey, Brandon Haupt (Angela Fikes), Courtney Haupt, Ashleigh (Kevin) Hummel, TJ Lawrence, as well as many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Phillip and Jewell Boose; her brother, Brett Allen Matthews; her aunts, Mary Ann Boose and Joyce Ann Stratmann; her uncles, John Edward Boose and Phillip “Butch” Boose; and her brother-in-law, Willard Lee Haupt.

Christy will be remembered for her laughter, her caring heart, and the way she always made people feel loved and supported. Whether it was a trip to the beach, planting flowers, a phone call, or a good game of bingo, she made every moment brighter. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and joy that her family and friends will carry with them forever.
