Christopher John Radetic

March 24, 1986 — April 1, 2024

Christopher John Radetic, age 38, of Chesterfield, Missouri, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 24, 1986 to John and Cynthia Radetic (nee Wagner).

Chris is survived by his beloved parents, John and Cindy Radetic; loving sister and brother-in-law, Lauren and Stephen Gloriod; treasured nieces and nephew, Olivia Gloriod, Charlotte Gloriod and Stephen Gloriod, Jr.; dear aunt and uncle, Mark and Nan Wagner; and a host of cousins, other family members, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Helen Radetic and Lee and Joan Wagner; and aunt and uncle, Marlene and Raymond Diedrich.

Chris attended Southeast Missouri State University where he became a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He earned a degree in Business Administration. Chris was an accomplished carpenter, house flipper and mechanic, showcasing his talent for working with his hands.

Chris had a passion for sports that began in childhood. While he excelled at basketball and baseball, hockey was his true calling. He enjoyed exploring nature in the Boy Scouts and dabbling in water sports at his family lake home. He also loved fishing from a young age and cherished spending time on “The Lake” with his dad.

Chris was known for his devotion to family and friends. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and was a loving father to his pet boxer, Phoebe. He was a caring and compassionate man, always willing to help. His friends have said: “Chris was a truly special person with the biggest heart. He loved so deeply and cared so much.” “Chris showed (me) not just physical strength, but fortitude of character.” “He was our bulldog.” “Chris had a unique gift of making others feel cherished, valued, and truly important.”

The choice to be an organ donor was perhaps the deed most telling of Chris’ true nature. He always wanted to help others and Chris’ final, selfless act saved two lives.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chris' honor to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
