Christopher William Sloan, lovingly known to many as Chris, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Fenton, Missouri, after a brief battle with cancer. Born on October 14, 1971, in Kirkwood, Missouri, Chris brought light, laughter, and unwavering support to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Chris was a remarkable man, embodying qualities that made him irreplaceable to his family and friends. He was fun and funny, always ready with a joke or a smile to lift spirits. His loyalty and caring nature were constants—he was the person you could count on without hesitation. A hardworking and loving soul, Chris invested his heart fully into everything he did.

His passions were many and spoke to his adventurous spirit. Chris loved his Camaro, and it brought him immense joy to finally get it running so that he could take it for long drives, feeling a sense of freedom and accomplishment. He cherished backroading and mudding in his Jeep and side by side, adventures filled with laughter and camaraderie. The lake was another special place for him, a haven where he enjoyed peaceful moments and the company of friends who meant the world to him.

Among Chris’s proudest accomplishments were achieving the milestone of purchasing his own house—a testament to his dedication and perseverance—and nurturing the friendships and family bonds that sustained him throughout his life.

Chris’s legacy lives on through his beloved parents, Don and Mary Sloan; his devoted sister, Donna Sloan; and his brother Jeff Sloan, along with Jeff’s wife Stacy. He will also be forever remembered by his nieces and nephew: Amy Gann, Juliana Sloan, and Austin Sloan with his wife Brandi. Adding to the circle of love is his great-niece, Nora Sloan, whose presence brought Chris great joy.

Throughout his life, Chris was always there if you needed him. His presence was a comforting anchor, a source of strength and encouragement in challenging times. Those who knew him were graced by his supportive nature and his genuine care for others.

Though Chris’s earthly journey has come to a close, the warmth of his spirit and the memories of his laughter, kindness, and love remain deeply etched in the hearts of all who were touched by him. His story is one of devotion—to family, friends, and the simple joys that made every day meaningful.

In remembering Christopher William “Chris” Sloan, we celebrate a life well-lived and mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man whose impact will be felt for generations to come.
