Claralouise Helen Lakebrink, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on June 17, 1930, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Claralouise was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many with her kindness, laughter, and unwavering support for her family.
For many years, Claralouise was apart of the A&P Office in Saint Louis, where she worked tirelessly in the accounting and bookkeeping departments until the company closed its doors. She was offered a position in New York, but her love for her family and friends kept her rooted in Saint Louis. Later, she continued her journey in the professional world at Industrial Furnace Design as the Operations Administrator, where her exemplary work ethic shone brightly.
Claralouise's warm and infectious laughter filled every room she entered. A ray of sunshine, she had a remarkable gift for spreading joy and love. Known for her generosity and kindness, she opened her heart to all, including the many pets that made their home. Her family fondly remembers her selfless sacrifices to provide and support them throughout their lives.
A life filled with love was exemplified in her bond with her children, Patricia L. Rea and Robert Joseph Lakebrink. The moments they shared together will forever hold a special place in their hearts; one-on-one time spent with their mother was a cherished gift that shaped their lives. Claralouise delighted in being surrounded by her grandchildren, Tiffany Mayfield, Tiara (Adriann) Rea-Palmer, and Dana Lakebrink, embracing every opportunity to create joyful memories with them. She will be deeply missed by her great-granddaughter, Winter Mayfield, whose smile brought her immeasurable joy.
Her zest for life continued in her personal interests, from roller skating and dancing in her youth to completing puzzles and traveling with her family. Claralouise’s love for adventure and exploration often brought her closer to her loved ones, and she took countless photos at theme parks with her grandchildren and the characters, capturing the magic of those moments.
Claralouise is now reunited with those who passed before her, including her devoted husband, Robert Ezra Lakebrink; her grandchild, Dana Lakebrink; her father, Richard Emil Muehlfarth; her mother, Lena Muehlfarth; and her brother, Richard H. Muehlfarth. Their memories will live on through the love and legacy she built during her lifetime.
Claralouise is survived by her loving daughter Patricia and son Robert, her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchild, sister-in-law Betty Muehlfarth, and a host of other family members and friends who were fortunate to know her.
Her life will be celebrated with a visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters on November 23, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11:30 AM. A graveside service will be conducted at Mount Hope Cemetery & Mausoleum at 1:00 PM.
