Craig Prater

Craig Prater, a beloved family man and cherished friend, was born on October 12, 1951, and peacefully departed this life on October 23, 2025. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him.

Craig's life was marked by his passion for the great outdoors; he found joy in hunting and fishing, often sharing these experiences with loved ones. A dedicated sports enthusiast, he cherished the thrill of watching games, especially when surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Patricia (Wallweber) Prater, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. Craig was a proud father to his daughter, Lisa (James) Feldhaus, and his son, Eric Prater. He also took immense joy in being a grandfather to Lauren (Tommy) Ketsenburg, Madison Feldhaus, Kyle Prater, and Camden Prater, as well as a great-grandfather to Cash and Silas Ketsenburg.

In addition to his immediate family, Craig is survived siblings, David Prater, Brian Prater (Christina) and Julia (Scot) Lane. He is also remembered by his sister-in-law, Peggy (Bob) Gettemeier.

Craig was proceeded in death by his parents, Leland Prater and Marilynn (Ottinger) Prater, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became. His legacy of laughter, and a zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
