Dale A. Lane, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 14, 1943, Dale was raised in Newburg, Missouri and later in Rolla, Missouri. He was a gentle, loving, and kind person who always had a smile for everyone and brought joy to those around him.
Dale dedicated 30 years of his professional life to the Chrysler Corporation, where he was a proud member of the Chrysler UAW Local 110. His commitment to his work and his colleagues was evident throughout his career.
Dale served honorably in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. His military service exemplified his dedication to his country and community.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Stengel Lane; daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) McAndrew; son, Dale Brian Lane; step-sons, Scott Stengel and Shawn (Bethany) Stengel; step-daughter, Lisa Homco; and an adoring family of fourteen grandchildren: Keith (Karin) Messmer, Stacey (Gabe) Cervantes, Kevin (Laura) McAndrew, Audrey (Tabitha) Jones, Braeden Lane, John Lane, Joseph Lane, Katherine Stengel, Jacqueline (Woody) Cornwall, Jordan Stengel, Alison Stengel, Kaylie Stengel, Juell (David) Homco, and Keith Homco, along with many great-grandchildren who will carry his legacy forward. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis (Diane) Lane; sister-in-law, Dee Lane; and a many cousins and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Dale was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Lane; his father, Clyde R. Lane; his mother, Evelyn N. Brophy; his son, John Lane; and his siblings, Jim Lane and Marilyn Lane.
The family will hold a viewing on June 15, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Saint Peters, Missouri 63376.
Dale A. Lane will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His life was a testament to love, kindness, and integrity, and he leaves behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
