Daniel James Boyle

Daniel James Boyle, born on February 20, 1981, passed away on August 10, 2026. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, loyal son, cherished sibling, and a steadfast friend to many.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Lindsey Boyle, and his treasured daughters, Kiley Boyle and Grace Boyle, who brought him immense pride and joy. Family, love and marriage were sacred to Daniel and he made sure he put his whole heart into it every single day. 

He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Boyle, whose enduring support and love defined much of Daniel’s life.

Daniel shared a unique, lifelong bond with his identical twin brother, Patrick Boyle (Bree Urech-Boyle). He is also survived by his siblings: James (Lori) Boyle, Maureen Boyle, Sean Boyle, Melissa Boyle (James Langley), Megan Boyle (Sheldon Mitchell), and Michael (Laura) Boyle. Additionally, countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends mourn his passing and hold dear their memories of Daniel.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Francis Boyle, whose memory remained present in Daniel’s life.

Family was always Daniel’s number one priority. He coached his daughters’ soccer teams, and attended every school event, dance recital and special occasion they ever had. 

Daniel attended Truman State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2004. He had a successful college Cross Country and Track and Field career that he shared with his twin brother, Patrick. College running was one of his favorite past times that he always enjoyed talking and reminiscing about, especially with Patrick.

After graduating with his master’s degree in Sport Management, he began working at The Lodge Des Peres where he remained for fifteen years. He was a cornerstone of The Lodge and the Des Peres Parks & Recreation family. 

In his free time Daniel loved watching movies, documentaries and F1 racing, playing his drums, hanging out with his family and pets, thrifting and studying history.

Daniel’s presence was a source of warmth and support for all who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will resonate for years to come, reflected in the love and compassion he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
