Danny Lee Hovis, born on December 30, 1962, left this world too soon on December 15, 2025. Danny was a great man who loved his life and family, and always found incredible joy in the simple, every day things. His laughter was as loud and contagious as it was genuine. An avid fisherman and boater, he found solace in nature and often enjoyed spending time on the water. His love for gardening provided him not just with blooms and produce but also a sense of peace and accomplishment. He loved canning and sharing the fruits of his labors with his loved ones. Cooking was another joy for Danny, where he shared his delicious meals that brought family and friends together, often accompanied by his favorite margaritas.

Danny was a craftsman at heart; his woodworking skills expressed his creativity and ability to construct the most beautiful pieces. He was known as a jack of all trades, always willing to lend a helping hand to others, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to his loved ones.

Every Sunday morning, Danny made it a tradition to visit Menards, a weekly ritual he cherished. He had an undeniable passion for music, particularly rock 'n' roll and country, which accompanied him through various moments of his life and brought joy to those around him. Sundays were particularly special as they were spent with loved ones during his legendary "Sunday Funday" gatherings at the Hovirosa.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Kathy Hovis; his stepdaughter/daughter, Angie Endicott; and his stepson/son, Nick (Lindsay) Hovis. He leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Kayla Endicott and Alec Endicott. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hovis and survived by his mother, Betty Hovis.  He is also survived by his two brothers, with whom he shared a strong bond, Perry (Janice) Hovis and Tim Hovis, along with a sister, Lisa Jacoby and a sister-in-law, Michele (Tara) Baumgartner. He was a dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, nephew and friend of many. In addition to family, he shared a deep bond with his two best friends and business partners, John Stanley and Logan Stanley. He was a dedicated pet owner, leaving behind his cherished pets, Luna and Lucie Hovis.

His legacy of love, laughter, camaraderie, and goodwill will be forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
