David Boyd Cochran, born September 13, 1962, passed away on March 9, 2026. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
David was a man of many talents and passions. Known affectionately as "Mr. Fix It" and "Doctor Do," he took great pride in his ability to tackle any repair or project that came his way. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for camping and spending time amid nature’s beauty. One of his greatest joys was cooking and barbecuing for those he loved. He believed the best moments in life happened around good food and good company, and he made sure no one ever left his table hungry. His meals brought people together and created memories that will be cherished forever. He also cherished the joy of holiday celebrations, bringing warmth and cheer to those around him. A devoted sports fan, David loved cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the St. Louis Cardinals, always rallying with infectious enthusiasm. Yet, above all else, his greatest joy came from spending precious moments with his family and friends.
He leaves behind a loving family who carry his legacy forward. David is survived by his wife, Leslie Cochran; his son, Tyler Carlson (Taylor Carlson) and his three daughters—Terra Cochran (Preston Arthur), Erika Cochran (Nick Hepperman) and Madison Cochran (Kyle Auchly). He will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Sophia, Connor, and Finley Carlson, who brought light and laughter into his life. His brother, Jeff Cochran and sister, Tracy Cochran also survive him, as well as His Mother-in-Law Teddy Liska; along with many other cherished family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ralph and Ellen Cochran, whose guidance and love helped shape the person he became. His In-Laws, James and Norma Sparkman. He also joins in eternal rest with his sisters, Debbie Cooper and Terri Long, who left a lasting imprint on the family.
A visitation to honor and remember David will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
