Dawson "Butch" Eugene Coates, age 72, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 in O Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Peoria , Illinois on April 24, 1951 to Allen and Eva Coates (nee Munro).
Dawson is survived by his Wife, Beth; three sons, Keith (Dawn) Coates, Douglas Coates, Scott (Anne) Coates; eight grandchildren, Emily (Austin) Denniston, Conrad Coates, Abigail Coates, Andie Coates, Ezra Coates, Olivia Coates, Eli Coates, Carter Coates; great-grandchild, Charlotte; sister, Donna Nelson; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Coates; father, Allen Marvel Coates; brother, Thomas Coates; two sisters, Eva White and Judy Dewitt.
A celebration of life will be on July 29th 2023 from 2-6 PM at Woodard, 9490 Watson Rd. St Louis MO 63126.
