Deborah Denise Pillar, affectionately known as "Precious Wheaty," passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on November 22, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, she dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker, ensuring the well-being of her family and nurturing her home with love and care.
Throughout her life, Deborah was known for her tender, loving, and joyous personality. A devoted Christian, she passionately spread the gospel and shared Jesus’ love with everyone she met. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, influencing her relationships and the way she engaged with the world around her.
Deborah had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, and she found joy in tending to her flowers and gardening. Additionally, she showcased her creativity through various crafts and crocheting, leaving behind a legacy of handmade gifts and cherished memories.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Pillar; her son, Steven (Carmen) Green; four grandchildren, Daniel (Brittani Smith) Green, Nathan (Lexi) Green, Jarod (Faith Gatewood) Green, Evan (Samantha Souke) Green; and a great-grandchild, Ilianna Gatewood-Wilkins. She is also survived by her two sisters, Brenda Prewitt and Sheila Cribbs, along with a host of other family members and friends who will remember her warmth and kindness.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Howard Ebben Lee Murray; her mother, Maxine Mildred Black; her brother, Robert Murray; and her sister, Tina Prewitt.
Memorial services to honor Deborah's life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation is scheduled for March 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on March 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM. A graveside service will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, at 11:00 AM on the same day.
Deborah Denise Pillar will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit and love will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
