With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Theilen, beloved wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, who departed this life on August 3, 2025 at the age of 74.
Born on May 30, 1951, to Lorraine Cobillas and G. Donald Ray, Debbie brought light and kindness into every life she touched. She was the cherished wife of Duane Theilen, and their love was the truest example of devotion and a comforting presence to all who knew them.
Debbie was a devoted sister to Donald Ray, Daniel (Heidi) Ray, and Dianne (Keith) Nelson, as well as her stepsister Kelly Quinlisk. She was also deeply loved by her stepmother, Ellen Ray, and stepfather, Victor Cobillas. Her bond with her family remained one of the most important parts of her life. Though she did not have children of her own, Debbie's heart knew no limits—her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy, and she loved them as fiercely and fully as any mother could. Her great-nieces and great-nephews brought her endless happiness, and she never missed a chance to share in their lives and celebrate their milestones.
Debbie will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, her heart, and the gift of making others feel special; especially through her cards, each one a little reminder that she was thinking of you.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 8, at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, 907 Jungermann Road, St. Peters, MO 63376 from 9-11am, service will be held at 11:00am with lunch to follow. All who knew and loved Debbie are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
There will also be a second Celebration of Life planned for Debbie's Arizona family and friends in or around January of 2026 in Surprise, Arizona. Please feel free to reach out to Debbie's family for details closer to that date.
