On January 21, 2026, Delmar Lavern Waller departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and family that can never be forgotten.
Delmar was the beloved husband of Shanon Yvonne Waller, and the love of her life, her chosen partner, and her forever. To know Delmar was to know quiet strength, devotion, and a love that showed itself not just in words, but in presence, protection, and unwavering commitment.
When Delmar and I joined our lives together, we chose one another fully through joy, creating memories, partnership, goals, laughter, and growth. Our wedding song, "/ Choose You" was more than music to us; it was a promise. Every day, Delmar lived that promise. He chose love, he chose family, and he chose us.
Family meant everything to Delmar. He was a devoted husband, a proud father to Blake, Tony, and Emmy, and a loving grandfather to Xavier, Dakota, and Karsyn. His love for them was deep and constant, and he took pride in being present, supportive, and steady in their lives.
Delmar also held a strong and lasting love for his family. He carried deep love for his beloved mother, Olive Juanita Sue; his siblings Shonna and John Crawford, Roy Waller, John Waller, Elsa Waller, Connie Ross, David Waller, and Mary Southworth. He carried deep respect and love for his Father, Butch Waller & his wife Jackie Waller.
He also embraced and deeply valued his in-laws, holding a special place in his heart for Carrie and Shannon Crum; Tom and Carrie Rothweil; Scott Brandon; Ashley Rothweil; and all their children. He had such high respect for his beloved father-in-law, John Rothweil Junior. Delmar believed family was not just by blood, but by love, and he truly lived that belief every day.
Delmar was surrounded by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews on both sides, too many to name but never too many to love. Each one held a special place in his heart, and he cared for them deeply. He was proud of the family that surrounded him and grateful for every connection, shared memory, and bond of love they shared.
Delmar's love will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and in my heart, always. I will carry him with me in every choice I make, every memory I hold, and every moment I miss him.
Forever chosen. Forever loved. Forever Delmar.
