Diana Marie Stroer (née Fricke), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 4, 2026, in St. Peters, Missouri. Born on May 30, 1951, in Hermann, Missouri, Diana spent her life uplifting those around her with unwavering honesty, humor, and deep love for her family.
Diana’s journey began in the heart of Missouri, where her early years were shaped by the loving guidance of her parents, Lawrence Fricke and Roselle Bell. She attended Ranken Technical College, earning her Associates Degree—a milestone she achieved through determination and dedication.
Her impressive career spanned 35 years at General Electric, where she worked in several roles, starting as a machine operator before becoming a skilled forklift operator. Diana’s work ethic and resilience stood as a testament to her character, earning her the respect and friendship of her colleagues.
A woman of creativity and warmth, Diana found joy in crafting. She was not only a talented cross stitcher but also made beautiful plastic canvases, knit many cozy afghans, and discovered the art of diamond painting later in life. Her passion for supporting our troops was remarkable; she handmade “A Cross In My Pocket” prayer crosses for soldiers, assembled care packages, baked cookies, and collected hygiene products—always with the intention of spreading comfort and hope across the miles.
Diana’s love for her family was the centerpiece of her life. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sheila Carroll, who inherited her mother’s strength and laughter. Diana’s legacy continues in her grandchildren: John (Jessica) Rust, Michael (Jordan) Chapin, and Cory Watson, and great-grandchildren: Alexis Rust, Colton Holmes, Carson Rust, Ivy Rust, Henry Hinterser, Boston Chapin, and Harley Watson, each a source of immense pride and happiness.
She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Marvin Fricke and Arlene (Jim) LeFever, whose bonds brought joy and shared memories throughout the years.
Diana was a woman who valued honesty and spoke her mind. Her straightforwardness and humor endeared her to many, and her laughter was often the light in any room. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan—her enthusiasm unwavering through every season. Shopping was another simple pleasure she relished, and she absolutely loved discovering treasures on TEMU. Her collections of angels and cardinal birds adorned her home, symbols of protection and the simple joys that marked her life.
Her patriotism was woven through every aspect of who she was. Few things made Diana prouder than her acts of service to the U.S. military, and her steadfast support was a true reflection of her generous spirit.
Diana now reunites with those who went before her: her beloved husband, Michael Stroer; her parents, Lawrence Fricke and Rosella Bell; her son, Keith LeFever; and her brother, Harold (Sharon) Fricke, who welcome her with open arms and loving remembrance.
Above all, Diana was most proud of her family, each member carrying forward her lessons of love, resilience, and kindness. Her influence will remain ever-present in their lives, a source of comfort and inspiration.
