Donald P. Paller of O’Fallon, MO passed away May 11, 2026, at the age of 72. Don was an airplane and car enthusiast from a very young age. He wanted to be a US Air Force pilot, but corrected vision made it impossible. Instead, he did the next best thing by attending Purdue University to become an aeronautical engineer where he proudly played trumpet for the Marching Boilermakers. He worked at Boeing for 40years designing. fighter jets and their software systems.
He was a voracious reader, loved music and movies and was a collector of model airplane kits and scale car models.
He is survived by his sister, Dee Bigenwald, brother-in-law, John Bigenwald, nephew, Joe Bigenwald (wife Gwen Bigenwal), and niece, Jessica Bigenwald (significant other Will Bosch).
Don, we will miss your stories and very dry sense of humor.
Donations if desired can be made to the National Museum of the US Air Force, Dayton OH. Click here to donate. Memorial Service date to be determined.
